Subsea technology has become an increasingly important part of modern life, although most of its activities take place below sea level and are not widely seen by the public. The development of subsea technology has been used in various fields, ranging from offshore energy, underwater communication networks, marine research, to environmental monitoring. This paper discusses the future development of subsea technology and its impact on people's lives. The discussion focused on several technologies that continue to develop, such as autonomous underwater vehicles, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), advanced sensors, and underwater robotics. These innovations provide great opportunities in increasing marine exploration activities, energy production, scientific research, and marine environmental protection. However, the development of subsea technology also presents a number of challenges, especially related to environmental sustainability, cost, safety, technological complexity, and the responsible use of marine resources. As human needs for marine resources and activities increase, subsea technology is expected to help create a balance between human needs and the preservation of marine ecosystems. Therefore, the future of subsea technology depends not only on technological advancements, but also on responsible implementation, collaboration between parties, and a commitment to the sustainable use of the ocean.
